In the last post we mentioned the Student Art Show, which is TONIGHT at 5:30 in upstairs founders!

We wanted to stress how awesome this event is. What makes it unique is that it is almost fully lead and ran by students. Every year, art thesis students hang, label and work out the lighting displays for the whole show. This year, the show is jam-packed with talent. WIth a large array of mediums, styles and content, it’s an awesome opportunity to check out some new work of thesis students as well as some younger students’ work that are just entering the game here at Guilford. So please, do yourself a favor and do not miss this show. There will even be yummy snacks and refreshments to munch on as you view and chat. If you can’t make it, work will remain hung in upstairs founders until winter break.

Another awesome event TONIGHT at around 7:30 in the Hildebrandt Art Studio House (805 Dolley Madison Rd) is the Thesis Studio Open House! After the student show, head over to Hildebrandt (it’s between Hodgins and BP) for a chance to take an inside look at all of the current Art thesis students’ work. It’s gonna be a blast. Everyone who comes will be able to do a full walkthrough of the Hildebrandt Art studio house and enter the world of our current Art thesis students. There are some pretty special things planned, such as a costume photo booth, a performance piece, and even some tunes to get jiggy to. This event never fails to blow attendees away… And just like the student show, there will be snacks and drinks! How can you pass it up?

So please, come on out to these spectacular events and show your fellow art students some love. You know it’s worth it.

Love, H/E
