WGSS + FREE PRESS

Wednesday, April 19th

1-3:30pm Hege-Cox Print Shop

Join the Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies Program and Free Press this coming Wednesday the 19th at Hege-Cox for a special WGSS Free Press event! We’ll be printing conference posters and t-shirts as well as other Free Press designs!

 

ART DEPARTMENT PARTICIPATES IN GUS

Friday, April 21st

GUS 10:00am-4:00pm

Art Department Mash Up in the Carnegie Room

Object and Identities in an Age of Resistance: This year the art department will take over the Carnegie room by doing what we do best…creating! We will have a number of stations where you, along with faculty, other students and staff are welcome to come and make art as an act of resistance. Drawing/Painting: Portrait and/or figure drawing/painting, Ceramics: Hand-building with clay, Printmaking: Stamp making, Sculpture: Found object installation, Photography: Photo booth, Mixed Media: Collage and everything else!

Also at GUS: Art Thesis students are participating in a panel and Free Press is having an exhibit in the library.

ART AFTER GUILFORD

Thursday, April 27th

6-8pm Hege-Cox Drawing Studio- An evening to meet and talk with Guilford Art Alumni and see what they are up to post graduating. Plus there will be snacks!

This event will contain 10 minute presentations by four Art Alums including, Julia Hood, Tali Petkov, Ray Knirs, and Ben Stinson.

Alumni will be answering questions so come out and join the discussion!
